In a moment

Whenever we hear the saying time flies, we always just see it as an overused cliche. But I learned quickly that it wasn't just a saying. Sure the first year dragged on in a blur of working to get financially stable, but once Cosmo got a huge promotion and I got a contract with a museum things really started to fly.

It all started one day in the bathroom. Yes the bathroom.

My face was buried in the toilet yet again. Never eating bacon cooked by Cosmo again.

But he wasn't getting sick. Was it something else?

I tried not to focus on any other possibilities; they were just too frightening to think about. Not that I didn't want kids but I just wasn't ready.

Cosmo knocked at the bathroom door then. "Peppy... Do you think we could talk? When you're done in there."

Another heave and the rest of breakfast came up. "Whatever it is, you'll need to say it in here. I have a feeling I won't be leaving the bathroom any time soon." And then lunch came up.

I could hear the hesitance in his voice. "Um... are you sure about that?"

Another heave. "YES" I had become agitated at that point. Wasn't it obvious that my stomach wasn't done emptying itself?

"Well OK." He opened the door and helped me stand.

"Peppermint Twirl Firework, Will you marry me?"

I made an inhuman noise and tackled him. Then I promptly returned to shoving my face in the toilet.

8 months and 10 days later...

Pregnancy wasn't always easy. I was spending more time getting acquainted with the downstairs toilet the first few months. However, one day in my second month, Cosmo and I had gone out for a walk and I found a feathered friend.

In my second trimester I spent most of my time in the massage chair. Not that I'm complaining.

My third trimester was spent satisfying cravings. Mostly fudgicles. I ate more than my share of fudgicles.

But I'll have to end my story here; I'm a little busy at the moment.

"COSM-OWWW!!"

Out of that painful 18 hour delivery came a surprise. We only expected one little girl. What we didn't know was that her twin had been hiding behind her.

We welcomed Mint Floss and Rosemary to the family.

And not even 3 hours later another, furrier set of twins joined the family. Our cats, Temple and Candy Cane had a boy and girl, Spearmint and Sage.

~Hey, hey, you two. Privacy, please? ~

~Mama, I fall. ~

~That came out of me? ~

About 2 years later Cosmo and I agreed to try for another baby. We had gotten the hang of raising twins and four cats, so it seemed the right time to continue adding to our family.

We were successful since 9 months later came Mojito Boom. Our first little boy.

2 years later...

Our baby girls had just turned five and started kindergarten, making me feel that time definitely was flying. They became so rambunctious and had grown into their own personalities.

My little Mojito was becoming a big boy of 3 years old. And so were Spearmint and Sage.

Candy Cane had given birth to another little boy, Pillow Mint.

Cosmo and I hadn't been trying for a baby but we hadn't protected against it either. So neither of us was surprised when we found out another Firework was on the way. Especially after the time I barfed in the daisies.

And now we have four children, the twins (Mint Floss and Rosemary), Mojito Boom, and our newest addition, Thyme Ruby. And of course, our furry family.

Sorry it may be a bit rushed but I want to move on to the next generation soon. An heir poll for both the kids and cats will be up soon since I need to know the heir to do the next chapter.
