temptations

This mini-chapter is from Universe's POV and tells his initial reaction to Genoa.

One good deed in over one hundred years and I pay the price.
Wanna volunteer for some blood test? Free pint of virgin blood for each volunteer!
Oh yeah sure, I'll do it!
Great now just go to the 3rd room on the left and wait over an hour for the doctor to come in!
Pft, wasn't even virgin blood.
What the berry is taking that stupid doctor so long?
Ok so she wasn't really a doctor just some nurse/scientist/whatever. Just come in here and take my blood so I can leave!
"Miss Pinot Noir will be in shortly." Shortly to scientists is an hour?

I heard through the door that they needed to sedate some vampire that had gone off his berry and now things were behind. Boohoo. Maybe you should have been prepared for that.
Finally she came in.
Berry almighty she's beautiful... Even more than.. no. She looked at me and her heartbeat increased, going twice as fast.
For some reason that made me happy. Not the normal "Haha their scared" or "Yeah you know I'm hot" way, but more like"God she's as shaken up about me as I am about her".
Wait... why am I thinking like that?!
To cover myself I just put up the facade that I was the normal me and not rattled to no end by the violet beauty beside me.
It was kind of fun to see her riled up, but still the whole time all that was on my mind was..
Don't watch her blood flow! Don't stare at her boobs! Blink!

My structure was slipping and in the brief moments when we had no communication, fantasies would spurr through my head.
I would follow her. wait until after she was done work. Catch her in the parking lot and capture her in my arms.

Drink her blood. Judging by her scent it would probably be like drinking a delicious wine. Then when she would try to run, I would catch her again and smooch that pretty purple face off.
I cleared my head of the fantasy. No. I wouldn't be doing that.

"Is that an invitation, Doc?" I stood to leave and looked over her completely.
"It wasn't an invitation, but free will is free will."  Such a little liar.
